During when a few entertainment expos are picking to go hostess, one service is rather multiplying down with a previous host that has a reputation of not keeping down with regards to deriding Hollywood. NBC reported early today that Golden Globe Awards 2020 Live humorist Ricky Gervais is coming back to his previous gig as Brilliant Globes have one year from now.
Ricky Dene Gervais is an English stand-up comedian, actor, screenwriter, director, producer, musician, presenter and author. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office. He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards. And the 2006 Rose d’Or, as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4’s 100 Greatest Stand-Ups. And at No 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world’s most influential people.
Following Gervais’ three-year Globes-facilitating stretch in 2010 to 2013, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler took over facilitating obligations from 2013 to 2015. Following Gervais’ arrival in 2016, late-night has Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers facilitated the service in 2017 and 2018, individually, trailed by a year ago’s facilitating couple Andy Samberg and Sandra Gracious.
